paramount , crazy traffic ,rough rugged
and rude Matatu drivers, on the paper
chase Mode, demanding office bosses who want you to keep time with no
excuses,Enter full throttle speed
Riders.to save the day.
My territory along the busy Outer-ring road, the road is
undergoing construction by the Chinese company’s ,there are three people you
will see with reflectors along this proposed highway the traffic police,the construction workers
and we the boda boda riders.
Last week woke up early as usual, rush hour in the morning
and evening are the best time making that extra coin, during the day the
work is full of jua kali sun,dust and traffic police,
On this particular day after rush ,I arrived at my stage, met four riders,mlunje wasuperstar ,mlunje wa tvs,mukurino wa tiger ,and brown wa tvs ,we hardly call each
other real names.

“majamaa jana was a bad day ,”we all
listened to his story-he continued”” jana pesa yangu yote ilienda!after
the traffic police arrested me and
demanded 2000, since I did not have my gloves,I came back to this stage,a customer
came and said he wanted to go to kasarani,I
charged him 800 gave him his helmet and reflector jacket - before I could start
the engine, my wife called and I assured her asi jam nakam and we left
for kasarani, there was no traffic
jam in a couple of jiffy we were at seasons pub kasarani.
Customer invited me to accompany him to a butchery outside the
club,he ordered half “kichwa ya mbuzi”he
took a bite assured me usi jam nakam kukuletea pesa turudi donholm and left me savoring the rest of the
meat,this was a double treat,I waited for him to come back, soon minutes turned
to hours ,from ten till twelve noon,my wife called again and I lied niko kwa jam nakam,my beautiful loving
wife was waiting for 1000 chama money since I had given the traffic cop 2000 I
was counting on this trip to save me from disappointment ,lastly I gave up and
realized I had been conned ,
He finished his narration –it had become a habit and we
consoled him and next was mukurino wa tiger sharing his trial and tribulation.
